Oh, where do I begin?? I will have to speak about Eric and the Judo Center of Lancaster from a mother’s perspective. I have an awesome kid (of course! No bias here lol ) who is crazy smart, kind, creative, painfully shy and also passive (only because he needed to find just a little bit more confidence). This was especially true around other boys who got enjoyment bullying the shy ones. My boy is not small (understatement) but despite his size, he was intimidated. He was picked on. That’s when I went looking for a solution and came across an ad for the Judo Center. I easily made an appointment and came in to speak to Sensei Eric. I immediately knew I had a mommy win (I’ll take as many as I can!). My son immediately agreed to “try it out”. I knew all sports would be beneficial but bringing him here exceeded my hopes and expectations. After only 4-5 weeks my child was more confident and to my EXTREME joy, he stood up to his bully and did so in a way I was proud of, with quiet strength and dignity. I KNOW he was able to do that because of what he has learned here, not just about Judo… but about himself. We won’t ever forget this experience and I strongly recommend that anyone in my shoes (especially if you’re a single mom like me!), give it a try. Go for a win…

My family have been taking classes here for almost a year. Learning a martial art can be intimidating, but the coaches and students here are a friendly community who make novices feel welcome. You can take Judo as seriously or casually as you care to at this dojo. They are accommodating of different ages, goals, and natural abilities. The rates are very affordable and different memberships are available to suit your schedule and needs.

Everyone at this judo center are very friendly, I just finished a 42 day challenge here and loved it! I will definitely be coming here more! I find that it's a fun way to stay in shape and the instructors are great and will help you if there's something your not understanding, they also make sure that everyone stays safe. It's perfect for beginners or people who have been doing judo for a while and I would highly recommend checking out this place if your interested!
